Mr. Ronald Melton, age 74, of Rocky Face, Georgia, departed this life Friday, June 23, 2017 at the local hospital. Ronald was born November 12, 1942 in Atlanta, GA, son of the late R.P. and Miriam Melton. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Melton. He is survived by his son, Randy Melton of Cumming, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Chrissie and Tommy Stewart of Dalton, GA; brother, Brent Melton of Florida; grandchildren, David Crawley of Jefferson, GA, Lacy Crawley of Dahlonega, GA, Cody Melton of Cumming, GA, Mallory and Madison Stewart of Dalton, GA; great grandchildren, Dawson, Brody, Brooklynn, Stetson, Benson; several nieces and nephews. Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Ronald Melton will be held Sunday July 2, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Ronald Guffey officiating. Interment will follow in the United Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday July 1, 2017.
