Mr. Ronald D. Charles Sr., age 67, of Oakman, GA, departed this life, Saturday November 7, 2015 at his home with his family by his side. Ronald was born March 17, 1948 in Williamson, WV. He was the son of the late Clyde Charles and Ruby J Fannin Charles. Ronald was a member of Oakman Methodist Church. He loved spending time with family and playing games on the computer. Ronald proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during Vietnam.

He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene Charles, whom he has been married to since July 5, 1989; sons, Shane Reaves of Oakman, GA, Ronald Jr. and Barb Charles of Oceana, West Virginia, Chris and Leanna Charles of Calhoun, GA, Charlie and Jennifer Cupp of Munford, Alabama, Andy Cupp of Munford, Alabama, Jared Charles of Calhoun, GA; daughters, Pam and Brandon Roberts Calhoun, GA, Amber Charles of Oakman, GA; brother, Jimmy and Ellen Charles of Phelps, Kentucky; and sister, Mary and Rodney Howard of Pikeville, Kentucky; eleven grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
Memorial services to celebrate the life of Mr. Ronald D. Charles Sr. will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Oakman/Ranger United Methodist Church in Oakman, Ga. With Reverend Thomas Lanford officiating. The family will receive friends at Ponders Fairmount Chapel from 5:00 pm until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2015.
