Obituary

Mr. Ronald Abe "Ronnie" Taylor, age 62, of Cohutta, Georgia, entered into eternal rest to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Saturday afternoon November 7, 2015 at the local hospital. Ronnie was born May 24, 1953 in Polk County, Tennessee, a son of the late Abe Frances and Leonia Farmer Taylor. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Larry and Walter Taylor. Ronnie worked for the City of Dalton Public Works for the past twenty-seven years and use to tell everyone he was a Sanitation Engineer. His hobby was helping others. At the time of his passing he was in the process of building a storm shelter that he said God told him in a dream to build, he called it "Jesus's Storm Shelter". He was a member of The Beaverdale House of Prayer in Cohutta, Georgia.
He is survived by his loving wife of sixteen years, Deven Taylor of the residence; daughters and sons-in-law, April and Melvin Byrd of Chatsworth, GA, Tina and James Hehn, Heather and Brandon Cole all of Dalton, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Martha Clements, Duane and Mary Kate Prather of Warrington, VA; brother, James "Jim" Taylor of Cohutta, GA; sister, Rosie Henderson of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Mercedes, Angel, Ashley, Jared, Caleb, Elizabeth, Emma Thomas, Brahm, Daniel, Samuel and Nathanial; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Axel, Alyssa, Serenity, Kellin and Leonardo; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Ronald Abe "Ronnie" Taylor will be held Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at The Beaverdale House of Prayer, 1820 Cooper Road, Cohutta, Georgia, with Reverend Will Taylor officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Cohutta Hills Community Church Cemetery, 5551 Red Clay Rd., Cohutta, Georgia, with Jared Teasley, Jimmy Taylor, Duane Prather, John Clements, Brandon Cole, Melvin Byrd and James Hehn serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning at The Beaverdale House of Prayer until the service time.
