Mr. Ronald Eugene "Ronnie" Phillips, age 64, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday evening, October 29, 2017 at the local hospital. Ronnie was born December 13, 1952 in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late Loyd and Dorothy White Phillips. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Allen Phillips and Charles Phillips.

Ronnie worked for over twenty years at World Carpet in the shipping department and for the past fourteen years at Norville Industries.

Ronnie was wonderful, caring, easy going, friendly guy who loved life and a great Dad.

He is survived by his loving wife, Billie Gillian Phillips and celebrated their forty-first wedding anniversary, September 4, 2017; daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Jim Kooi of Ringgold, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher and Stacie White of Cohutta, GA, Scott White of Rossville, GA; grandchildren, Hunter White, Levi Kooi and Jonah Kooi; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joel and Joan Phillips of Ringgold, GA, Michael and B. J. Phillips, Stephen and Deborah Phillips, Glennice Phillips all Dalton, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Ronald Eugene "Ronnie" Phillips will be Saturday evening, November 4, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Charles Weaver officiating. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 5:00 p.m. Saturday until the service hour.
