Mr. Robert Louis "Toby" Anderson, age 91, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday morning, October 27, 2024. He was born April 17, 1933 in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late Ed Anderson Sr. and Elsie Henson Anderson. He was also preceded in death by the love of his life Maudell Porter, daughter Lisa Anderson, brother Ed Anderson Jr., sisters Katherine Morgan, Mary Nell Wells and Jeannie Anderson. He retired from Shaw Industries Plant 4 after 28 years in the maintenance department.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Ann Anderson of Dalton, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Dewayne Whitmire of Rocky Face, GA; grandchildren, Heather Tate, Blake Anderson (Meg), Kelly Whitmire, Brian Whitmire (Brandi); great granddaughter, Emma Anderson; nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Robert Louis "Toby" Anderson will be held Wednesday October 30, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Billy Willis officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery with Kelly Whitmire, Brian Whitmire, Blake Anderson, Andrew Elder, Mike Morgan and Jerry Elder serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
