Mr. Robert "Bob" Patterson, age 83, of Rocky Face, GA, passed away, Wednesday September 14, 2016 at the local hospital. Bob was born July 31, 1933 in Clayton, GA, the son of the late John Lee and Burma Lou Dickerson Patterson. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Judy Payne. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Patterson of the residence, son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Pam Patterson of Dalton, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy Sue and Kenneth Padgett of Lady Lake, FL; brothers and sisters-in-law, Delmo and Carolyn Patterson, Doyle and Judy Patterson of Clayton, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Jane and Larkin Oliver of Auburn, GA, Joyce Patterson Reeves of Clayton, GA; grandchildren, Jason Patterson, Jaime and Tremayne Pender; great grandchildren, Aiden, Jaci, Ainslee, Alex, Sydnee, Sophia, Sloan; nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Robert "Bob" Patterson will be held Friday September 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Aaron Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday.
