Mr. Robert Oliver Owen Jr. age 76 of Dalton, GA, departed this life Monday October 29, 2018 at the local hospital. He was born March 22, 1942 in Dalton, GA, a son of the late Robert Owen Sr. and Ruby Seay Owen. He was also preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ann Baker Owen. He has worked as an engineer for Perpetual Machine Company for the past twenty seven years. He was a member of the Hill City Masonic Lodge 319.

He is survived by his son, Rob Owen; daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and Norman White, Sonya and Russ Covington; brother, John Owen; grandchildren, Melina White, Mekala White, Sydney Covington, Olivia Owen, Bo Owen all of Dalton, GA, Christina White Jones of Jacksonville, FL.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Robert Oliver Owen Jr. will be held Saturday November 3, 2018 a 10:00 a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Bruce Ellis officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife at the Cove Cemetery with Russ Covington, Norman White, Willard Redwine, Robert Redwine, Bruce Franks and JB Cochran serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday.
