Robert Lee Morgan age 67, of Chatsworth, GA departed this life Thursday June 25, 2020 at his residence.  Mr. Morgan was born in Dalton, Georgia on July 1, 1952.  He was a son of the late Charles Benjamin and Gertrude "Gert" Paye Morgan.

Mr. Morgan was a Veteran of The United States Army who served in The Vietnam War.  He was a former over the road truck driver for Transport America.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Bunns Morgan of Dalton; sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby Lee and Sarah Morgan of Plainville, Georgia, Sergeant Shawn Morgan currently serving in Kuwait and his wife Amber of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Robert Evans of Helen, Georgia; daughter, Crystal Patterson of Atlanta; sisters, Diane Miller and Louise "Weze" Davis both of Chatsworth; niece, Melissa Stafford of Chatsworth; nephews, Bobby Lee Ortiz , Christian Missionary currently serving in Ecuador, Bruce Miller and Chris Miller; eleven grandchildren.

Service to celebrate the life of Robert Lee Morgan will be held Friday July 10, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Tommy McHan officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with The American Legion Post 112 of Dalton conferring Military Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
