Mr. Robert Godby, age 78, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Monday, June 29, 2015 at his residence. Robert was born September 26, 1936 in Matewan, WV a son of the late William and Edna Adams Godby. He was also preceded in death by his son, Robert Godby Jr., brothers, Bill Godby, Tom Godby.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Godby of the residence; sons, Bill Godby of Florida, Paul Godby of New York, James Tucker of Ohio, and John Tucker of Utah; daughter, Teresa Perkins of Ohio; brothers, Don Godby, Jim Godby; sisters, Dot Maynard, Opal Wulderk, Mary Kennedy, Luci Sigler, Sylvia Lecliar; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday July 2, 2015.
Private family Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Mausoleum at the Colonial Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
