Mr. Robert Lee Dilbeck, age 86, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Friday, October 21, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  Robert was born August 26, 1936 in Whitfield County, Georgia, a son of the late Lester William and Fannie Lou Clark Dilbeck.  He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Gail Dilbeck Cox, an infant son, Ricky Lee Dilbeck, granddaughter, Heather Queen, brother, Lester Dilbeck, Jr., sister and brothers-in-law, Jewell and Jerry Earnest, and Junior Lance, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jessie and Hester Phillips Payne.

Robert was retired from Dalton Industrial. He attended North Whitfield Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Pauline "Polly" Payne Dilbeck of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Shawn Dilbeck of Tunnel Hill, GA; grandchildren, Christopher "Bo" and Jessica Cox, Ashley and Cody Bain, Shelbe and Austin Cole, Billy Queen; great-grandchildren, Tagann Weber, Haley Cox, Abby Cox, and Colby Griffith; great-great-grandchildren, Quinleigh Weber, Sadie Bain, Sawyer Bain, Parker Griffith, and Rhett Weber; brothers and sisters-in-law, Grady and Genell Dilbeck, Ray and Paula Dilbeck, Steven and Linda Dilbeck all of Dalton, GA, Ronnie and Lisa Kibble of Ringgold, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Lance, Gail and Patrick Burton all of Tunnel Hill, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Robert Lee Dilbeck will be held Monday, October 24, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Sam Dillard officiating.  He will be laid to rest at Smith Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Catoosa County, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 1:00 p.m. Monday until the service hour.
