Mr. Robert Lee "Bob" Nussbaumer, age 67, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday, October 16, 2023, at the local hospital. He was born September 6, 1956 in Canton, Ohio a son of the late BJ Nussbaumer and Jean Nussbaumer. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law John Evanoo, sisters Diane Adkins, Suzanne Stein, Joanne Clark, brother David Nussbaumer, grandson Matthew Nussbaumer,
He is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Linda (Evanoo) Nussbaumer, daughter, Amanda (Wayne) Cochran; sons, Joe (Gina) Nussbaumer and Jim (Madison) Nussbaumer; grandchildren, Hannah Nussbaumer, Maddie Nussbaumer, Ava Nussbaumer, and Baby Girl Nussbaumer; mother-in-law, Rita Evanoo; sister, Chris (Rodney) Grantham; brothers, Bernie (Melany) Nussbaumer, John (Rebecca) Nussbaumer, Mark (Karen) Nussbaumer; brother-in-law, Perry Stein; sisters-in-law Kathleen Nussbaumer and Amelia (Gil) Fitch; brothers-in-law, John (Sandy) Evanoo, Don (Tish) Evanoo, and Mike Evanoo, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held11:00 a.m. Saturday November 4, 2023 at Stage 123 of Rock Bridge Community Church.
Bob grew up in Massillon, Ohio. He graduated from Kent State University and earned a commission in the United States Army. He proudly served at Ft Hood, TX and Ft Knox, Ky, and many years in the Army Reserves. After leaving the military, he provided for his family with jobs in the textile and telecommunications industries. He enjoyed outdoor cooking, beer and wine making, and especially watching The Ohio State Buckeyes play football. Everyone who knew him knew not to bother him on Saturdays between September and November.
