Mr. Robert Sansom "Bob" Graham, age 65, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Friday afternoon, February 26, 2016 at the Chattanooga Hospice Care Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Bob was born November 23, 1950 in Asheboro, North Carolina, a son of the late Dr. Clyde A. and Wylene Sansom Graham, Jr. Bob proudly served his country during the Vietnam Conflict in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne. He was retired from Industrial Air in Greensboro, NC.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Akins Graham of the residence; step-daughter, Ashley Putnam and granddaughter, Xena Raymond both of Rocky Face, GA; step-mother, Annie Grey Graham of Asheboro, NC; brother and sister-in-law, Clyde A. "Chip" and Mary Graham of Ramseur, NC; mother-in-law, Faye Akins and brother-in-law, Terry Akins both of Dalton, GA; aunt, Mary Tate Graham Moon of Wake Forest, NC; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Robert Sansom "Bob" Graham will be held Wednesday morning, March 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Junior Williams officiating. He will be laid to rest at 1:00 p.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia, with military graveside honors provided by the Dalton American Legion Post #112. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2016 and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday morning until the service hour.
