Ms. Rita "Susan" Smith, age 70, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia departed this life on March 23, 2023.

Susan was born November 13, 1952, in Kokomo, Indiana, a daughter of the late Richard and Emma Louise Shinn Grizzle.  She was also preceded in death by a special friend, Billy Edwin Smith, a son, Bev Eugene "JR" Barber, a stepdaughter and her husband, Vonda Sue and David McClendon and a great granddaughter, Jazman Ann Foster.

Susan worked many years at Mohawk Industries.

She is survived by her sons, Billy Glenn Smith of Chatsworth, GA, Joshua Pippin of Cohutta, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Ricky and Debbie Grizzle of Sugar Valley, GA, and Tim Grizzle of Lafayette, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol and Steve Adams of Kokomo, IN, and Juanita and Terry Epperson of Dalton, GA; special niece and caregiver, Rebecca Jones of Tunnel Hill, GA; fifteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held in the near future.
