Mr. Ricky Lynn Ellison, age 45, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday evening, July 2, 2015 at the local hospital. Ricky was born November 3, 1969 in Dalton, Georgia. He loved water sports and motor cross.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Frances Ellison and Joe and Lois Langham.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Ralston Ellison; step-son, Shane Anderson; step-daughters, Crystal Anderson, Amanda Anderson and Melanie Anderson; parents, James Mitchell and Peggy Ellison, Sr.; brother, James M. Ellison, Jr.; nephew, Joseph Ellison; step-grandchildren, Alexis Dockery, Dayton Fowler, Carmen Lorera, Lucas Galvez, Damian Herrera, Miley Fowler, Waylon Anderson and Hailey Underwood; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Ricky Lynn Ellison will be held Monday, July 6, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Stan Banther officiating. He will be laid to rest at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with Paul Ledford, Eric Ellison, Tony Lovain, John Upton, Gary Crow and Allen Crow serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and after 11:00 a.m. Monday until the service hour.
