Mr. Richard Williams, age 65, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at the Redmond Regional Hospital in Rome, Georgia. He was born April 27, 1957, in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late, Wesley "Bud" and Annie Mae Allen Williams, Jr. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Wesley Clayton Williams, and Don Williams, a sister, Martha Bramblett, grandson, Joshua Allen and a stepdaughter, Tammy Allen.

Richard was a graduate of Dalton High School and was employed as a truck driver for Shaw Industries since 1976. He attended the Lakeshore Baptist Church.

He is survived by his devoted wife of thirty-six years, Patricia Witherow Williams of the residence; sons and daughter-in-law, Ashley R. and Missy Williams of Calhoun, GA, Brandon C. Williams of Chatsworth, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Angie and Marshall Smith of Chatsworth, GA, Suzette and Michael Rose of Rome, GA; brothers, David Williams of Chatsworth, GA, Paul Williams of Dalton, GA; sister, Mary Ann Crider of Dalton, GA; 13 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Richard Williams will be held Saturday June 11, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Dennis Chasteen officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery with Alex Williams, Landon Williams, Kollin Williams, Kolby Smith, Payton Williams, and Nathan Bonanza serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday after 10:00 a.m. until the service hour.

The family will accept flowers or donations to the Shriner's Children's Hospital.
