Mr. Richard White, age 72, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Hamilton Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on November 5, 1952, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Richard was the beloved child of the late James and Margret White. A spirited and passionate soul, Richard lived life with a devotion to the things he loved most: music, family, and hot rods.

He was a gifted musician, often found playing his favorite tunes. When he wasn't behind an instrument, Richard enjoyed pitching horseshoes with friends and family. However, his greatest enthusiasm was reserved for his classic cars, especially his meticulously restored '66 Chevelle and '56 Wagon, which he proudly drove around town.

More than anything else, Richard treasured time with his family. His heart overflowed with love for them, and he especially cherished moments spent with his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride.

He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 48 years, Geneva White; and by his brothers, Kenneth Rainey and Jimmy White.

Richard is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Heather and JP Perez; and by his treasured grandchildren, Tori Greeson and Justus Roberts, and his adopted children Marshall and Michelle Stokes along with several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Richard White will be held Friday, June 27, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel, with Reverend David Mathis officiating. Richard will be laid to rest at Lee Cemetery in McDonald, Tennessee, with JP Perez, Justus Roberts, Marshall Stokes, Clint Rainey, Josh Cook, Aaron Russel, Steve Rainey, and Chad Roberts honored to serve as his pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
