Mr. Richard Bradley Franks Sr., age 85, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday, October 9, 2020 at Home. He was born July 25, 1935 in Tunnel Hill, GA, a son of the late Glenn J. Franks and Effie Grace Cummings Bishop. He was preceded in death by wife, Edna Ethel Gaston Franks, brothers, J.C. Franks, Troy Franks, David "Freddy" Franks, Lois Lingerfelt, Edith Barton, Gladys Louise Colbert, son-in-law, Vito Caronna. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post 112.

He is survived by his daughter; Rhonda Caronna of Hammond LA., son and his spouse; Rick Franks and Christopher Carter of Dalton, GA, grandson; Vincent Caronna of Hammond, LA., sister, Linda Fay Brown of Rocky Face, GA; sister-in-law, Anna Franks of Dalton, GA; also several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Richard Bradley Franks Sr., will be held Monday, October 12, 2020 at 2:00 pm from Ponders Melrose Chapel. He will be laid to rest at Gordy Memorial Cemetery with the American Legion Post 112 in charge of Military Honors.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel, Monday October 12, 2020 from 11:00p.m until 2:00 p.m. Monday.
