Mr. Richard Wayne Brewer, age 46, of Chatsworth, Georgia, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday morning, July 4, 2015 at the Murray Medical Center in Chatsworth, Georgia. Richard was born November 28, 1968 in Spring City, Tennessee. He was a volunteer fireman with Whitfield County Fire Department and was formerly employed at Brown Industries. He was a member of White Graves Baptist Church in Ranger, Georgia. Richard was a very humble person and always had a very positive outlook during his illness. Richard loved the Tennessee Vols.
He was preceded in death by his father, Danny Paul Brewer and a great-niece, Alaysha Ford.
He is survived by his wife, Kristy Jones Brewer; children, Jeremy, Lake, Ashton and Brynleigh Brewer all of Chatsworth, GA; mother and step-father, Brenda and John Brooks of Tunnel Hill, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Twana and Chris Amos of Rocky Face, GA; niece and nephew, Whitney and Emtuma Ware; nephew, Tyler McClure; great-nephews, J'Dun Hill and Prince Ware; great-niece, Xoeigh McClure; mother-in-law, Ruby Jones of Chatsworth, GA; father-in-law, Earnest and Verna Jones of Rocky Face, GA; brother-in-law, Jason Jones of Chatsworth, GA; sister-in-law, Nevaeh Jones of Rocky Face, GA; several aunts, uncles and cousins and his special church family at White Graves Baptist Church.
Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Richard Wayne Brewer will be held Tuesday morning, July 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at White Graves Baptist Church (385 White Graves Rd., Ranger, GA, 30734) with Reverend Will Allen, Bro. Isacc Johns, Bro. Eric Brown and Bro. Adam Thomas officiating. He will be laid to rest in the church cemetery with Darrel Cox, Robert Rolen, Charles "Chucky" Rolen, Joshua Massingill, Craig Smith and Jeff Hedden serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of White Graves Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m. Monday and at White Graves Baptist Church after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning until the service hour.
