Reverend Brian Samuel Vinyard., age 44, of Dalton, Georgia departed this life on Monday, June 2, 2014 at the local hospital. Brian was born August 27, 1969 in Dalton, GA. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Theron Vinyard, sister, Martha Smith. Brian was the former pastor at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Martha Vinyard of the residence; mother, Fannie Vinyard; son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Cassie Whitehead; daughters and sons-in-law, Shawna and Seth Jones of Dalton, GA, Tara and Josh Randolph of Tunnel Hill, GA; brother and sisters-in-law, Davey Vinyard and Helen Walker, Nan Campbell of Dalton, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Teressa and Eric Sellers of Dalton, GA, Kim Coran of Cohutta, GA, Janice and Larry Tucker of Crandall, GA, Jimmy Coran of Eton, GA; grandchildren, Brayden, Parker, Lynlee, Jay, Kayden, Khloe; special friends, Brenda Killian of Cohutta, GA, Lloyd and Charlotte Cox of Dalton, GA, Mitchell Moree of Cohutta, GA, Jimmy and Wanda Rogers of Ringgold, GA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services to celebrate the life of Reverend Brian Samuel Vinyard will be held Friday June 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Gene Thomason and Reverend Nick Blevins officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.
