Reverend Raymond Ray Robinson Sr., at the age of 77, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, February 28, 2018 at his home in Resaca, Georgia, surrounded by his loving family.
Reverend Robinson was born on April 23, 1940 in LaGrange, Georgia, a son of the late Melvin Robinson and Mae Freeman.
He was a retired minister from the assemblies of God and shared his life with the churches for over fifty years. He was the founder of the Calhoun First Assembly of God Church. Reverend Robinson enjoyed life to the fullest and loved being with his family. He loved the Lord, had an infectious smile and an eagerness to help all those that needed help.
He is survived by his loving wife to whom he shared fifty-five wonderful years with, Linda Faye Kelley Robinson of the home; two children, his daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and David Headrick; his son, Raymond Ray Jr. and Brenda Robinson all of Resaca, Georgia; two granddaughters, William and Candace Hullender of Resaca, BJ and Misty Green of Adairsville, Georgia; four great-grandchildren, Tanner Warren, Avery Warren, Lucas Green, and William Hullender Jr.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra and Carl Dunklee, Ruth and Clyde Railey all of LaGrange, Georgia; several nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends also survive.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Reverend Raymond Ray Robinson Sr. will be held on Saturday, March 10th, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. from the Calhoun First Assembly of God Church, 1080 Rome Road SW, Calhoun, Georgia 30701, with Reverend Caryl E. Martinez, Reverend David Headrick, and Reverend Darrel S. Burns officiating.
The Robinson family will receive friends at the church on Saturday, from 2:00 P.M. until the service hour.
Floral arrangements may be sent to the Church on Saturday, March 10th, 2018.
At Reverend Robinson's request he will be cremated.
