Reverend Carl Haines Sterling, age 84, of Rocky Face, Georgia, departed this life Saturday, August 17, 2024, at the Erlanger Hospital. He was born August 6, 1940 in Washington DC, a son of the late William and Lillian Sterling. He was also preceded in death by his son Aaron (A.J.) Sterling.

He is survived by his wife, Paulette Stering of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Marc Sterling and Tommy Stovall of Phoenix, AZ, Chris and Donna Mitchell of Fort Worth, TX, Mike and Christina Mitchell of Tunnel Hill, GA, David and Erica Jordan of Chico, CA; sister, Flora Solom of Florida; grandchildren, Christopher Sterling, Samantha Sterling, Trevor Sterling Stovall, Wyatt Brewer, Virginia Knight, Milo Papa.

Services to celebrate the life of Reverend Carl Haines Sterling will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2024.
