Reverend George Glaze, age 77, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday morning, January 12, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. George was born December 12, 1936 in Alabama City, Alabama, son of the late Vannie and Ethel Moore Glaze. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Randal Glaze. He was a member of the Tunnel Hill Church of God of Prophecy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carolyn Glaze of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Milton Rainey of Dalton, GA; sisters, Louise Rittenhouse and Faye Simmons of Calhoun, GA; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Reverend George Glaze will be held Tuesday January 14, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend James Lewis and Reverend Ronnie Chandler officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Monday.
