Ms. Rennie Marie Smith, age 69, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday afternoon, October 30, 2021 at the local hospital. She was born February 11, 1952 in Madison County, AL a daughter of the late Willie and Mary Sue Cantrell Mason. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry Smith, brothers, John Mason, Vernon Mason, Monte Mason, Roy Gene Mason, sister, Sadie Hicks, Fannie Jones, Hazel Hansen, great grandson, Isaac Breeden and a sister-in-law, Lois Mason.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Brandie Smith, Roy Smith and Juanita Servin, Dennis Smith, Michael and Patricia Smith, Jamie Smith and Lily Hilliker all of Dalton, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leo Mason of Crystal Springs, TN, Louie and Marie Mason of McMinnville, TN, Dorothy Mason of Huntsville, TN, Wanda Mason of Toney, AL; eighteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be held Thursday November 4, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Kaylon Hughes and Denny Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Interment will follow in the Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Mark Smith, Roy Smith, Michael Smith, Dakota Smith, Austin Breeden and Marcus Smith serving as pallbearers.
