Mrs. Rena Kay Short, known to many as "Mama Kay", was a loving and caring wife, mother, great grandma, sister and friend who went home to be with the Lord on Monday September 14, 2026. Rena was born May 14, 1947, in Dumas, Arkansas, a daughter of the late George and Vida Boyette Manning. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Gerald Short and adored son Randy Short.

Rena was known for being loving, caring and friendly. She didn't know a stranger. Above all else Rena loved and cherished time spent with her family and friends making memories.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Deborah Short of Oklahoma; daughters and son-in-law, Deborah Short of Cohutta, GA, Shelley and Anthony Ogles of Tunnel Hill, GA; bonus daughter, Liz Caballero of California; eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

At her request no services will be held at this time.
