Mr. Rembert Odell Thurman, age 64, of Fairmount, GA, departed this life, Saturday December 12, 2015 at his home. Rembert was born November 24, 1951 in Fairmount, GA. He was the son of the late James Pless Thurman and Zola Kate Walker Thurman. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Talmadge Thurman and Paul Thurman; sisters, Lois Johnson, Virginia Spurling, Iline Flynn, Karen Sue Childers, Rosia Gail Thurman and Dorothy Phillips.

Mr. Rembert Odell Thurman is survived by his sons, Nick and Crystal Thurman, Jeff and Heidi Thurman and Raymond Thurman all of Fairmount, GA; brothers, Max And Katie Thurman of Fairmount, GA, Daniel and Diane Thurman of Calhoun, GA; sisters, Sheila and Douglas Childers, Vera and Clinton Childers, Maxine Parker, all of Fairmount, GA, Linda Pulliam of McCaysville, GA; grandchildren, Patrick Thurman, Gabriel Thurman, Ivan Thurman, Mckinley Thurman and McKayla Thurman, many nieces and nephews.

The family will announce a memorial service at a later date.
