Mrs. Rebecca Lynn George, age 50, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life Friday afternoon, April 14, 2023 at  the Advent Health Redmond. She was born September 17, 1972 in Dalton, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Baldridge, mother Sandra Lee Staton Harris, brother Luke Baldridge.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Phillip George; sons and daughter-in-law, Jessie and Gabbi George, Jaxon George; daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Weston Walraven; daughter and daughter-in-law, Savannah and Abby Straughn; brother, Rob Baldridge; sister and brother-in-law, Neely and Chris Reed; grandchildren, Carter and Josie Walraven all of Calhoun, GA; mother-in-law, Barbara George Kilgore of Lyerly, GA; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lorie and Randy Parker, Rita and Jimmy McDaris of Dalton, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Rebecca Lynn George will be held Tuesday April 18, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Bret Yeager officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Jeremy Belcher, Jason Belcher, Matt McDaris, Jordan Baldridge, Elijah Baldridge and Aaron Lively serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday.
