Mrs. Reba Glee Chasteen, age 78, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday afternoon, July 24, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Reba was born August 4, 1947, in Cherokee County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Edgar Andrew and Mamie G. Coleman Panter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Thomas “Tommy” Stephens who died November 10, 2023, a daughter, Teresa Annette Dickson who died, June 20, 2016, sisters, Betty Allgood, Marie Russell, and Jean Verner, and her brother, Reverend William Panter.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Hankins of Chatsworth, GA; sons, Tony Martin and Donnie Gillum of Jackson, KY; sister, Ann Morrow of Rocky Face, GA; grandchildren, Daryl Peelman, Matthew Dickson, Steven Hankins and Blake Hankins; several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
