Mrs. Reba Barnes, age 80, of Dalton, Georgia, died Sunday, March 2, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Reba was born July 19, 1933 in Benton, Tennessee, a daughter of the late John and Ella Vaughn Bishop. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Don Barnes and Dan Barnes, brother, C. L. Bishop, sisters, Helen Hooker, Geneva Richie.

She is survived by her husband of sixty five years, O.B. Barnes of the residence; sons and daughter-in-law, Mike and Kathy Barnes of Ooltewah, TN, Tony Barnes of Dalton, GA, Cammie Barnes, Ricky Barnes of Dalton, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Mike Bell of Calhoun, GA, Sandra Dunnway, Rena and Gary Calhoun , Kindra and Cole Ulen of Tunnel Hill, GA; sisters, Geraldine Bedwell of Cohutta, GA, Wanda Sue Smith of Dalton, GA, Barbara Fowler of Chatsworth, GA; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Reba Barnes will be held Wednesday March 5, 2014 at 5:00 P.M. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the United Memorial Gardens with Drew Thornton, Brian Tuder, Jason Talley, Dylan Ramsey, Cody Carroll, Brandon Thomas, Clint Putnam, and Cole Ulen serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday.
