Mr. Raymond Allen Sexton, age 76, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 28, 1947 in Cedar Bluff, Alabama, a son of the late Albert and Ruby Sexton. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, James, John, Albert and Robert Sexton, sister, Christine Underwood, Mary Nell Sexton, Bonnie Curtis, Frances Speer, Minnie Bell Sexton, grandson, Raymond Aaron Smith.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Judy Sexton of the residence; daughters, Traci Stafford, Paula Smith of Dalton, GA; sister, Louise Hines of Gadsden, AL; grandchildren, Charity Kendrick, Andrew Stafford, Chasity Fox, Christopher Smith, Blake Southerland, Breanna Southerland; great grandchildren, Kaylynn, Ashlynn, Shelby, Miley, Zoey, Hunter, Chase, Wrenley; nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Raymond Allen Sexton will be held Monday July 24, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Johnny West and Brother Eddie Bramblett officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.
