Obituary

Randy Stimmel, 46, of Chatsworth, GA transitioned to his heavenly home on August 5th, 2017. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Randy was born on January 5, 1971 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but he spent his adolescent years in South Cleveland, TN. He was strong in his faith as he enjoyed attending church and worshiping the Lord. He also enjoyed being outdoors and especially liked trips to the mountains and beaches. He loved spending time with his wife and loving family. He was employed at Mohawk Industries for over 10 years. He previously attended Northwest Christian Fellowship, and most recently was in regular attendance at Cedar Valley Cathedral of Praise. Survivors include his loving wife, Elaine Stimmel; his children, Kayla (Alex) Greeson, Justin (Priscilla) Neal, and Paige (Chad) Roberson; his father and step-mother John G. and Annette Stimmel; mother Linda Stimmel; grandchildren, which were the light of his life, Savannah, Joseph, Destiny, and Chase; siblings John D. Stimmel and Marci Dyer. He is also survived by his Uncle Larry Dague and his in-laws Janet and Frank Canada. Other survivors include his step-brother, step-sisters, several nieces and nephews, and many other supportive and loving family and friends.

He was a loving husband, father, papaw, son, brother, nephew, and friend that will be forever missed. He was one of the kindest souls and always had positive words for those that he met. It was not often that you would see Randy Stimmel without a smile on his face. Even through his hard fought battle for the past 10 months with cancer, he remained positive and strong in his beliefs.

His family would like to extend a special thanks to all of the people that were there to support and love Randy as he prepared to make his final journey to his eternal home. They would also like to thank Hearth Hospice for all of the care and support that has been provided by their staff, especially his nurse Cindy.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Cedar Valley Cathedral of Praise in Dalton, GA on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. with Pastor Larry Woodson and Brother Mike Watkins officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m on Friday.
