Mr. Ralph Edwin Harris , age 80, of Resaca, GA, departed this life, Monday April 12, 2021 at his home. Ralph was born May 22, 1940 in Dalton, GA, the son of the late Roy and Florence Roberts Harris. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Carl Harris; sisters, Johnnie Ann Harris, and Martha Craig. Ralph loved his tractors and enjoy going to tractor shows around the area. Ralph loved Jesus and attended Opportunity Baptist Church. When not attending church or tractor shows, he loved to work in the garden.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Anita Harris, daughters, Loria and Donny Ray, Peggy and David Muse all of Dalton, GA; sister, Virginia Cochran; grandchildren, Jennifer (Ron) Scheetz, Joshua (Michelle) Ray, Sarah (Bradley) Zinsmeister; great-grandchildren, Lacey Allen, Kyleigh Allen, Layla Smith, Ashton Zinsmeister, Braelyn Howard, Ron Scheetz, Sadie Scheetz, Ava Zinsmeister and Lillian Ray.

Service to celebrate the life of Ralph Edwin Harris, will be held Thursday April 15, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. from Opportunity Baptist Church with Reverend Gary Bowen and Reverend David Hedrick officiating. Interment will follow the service at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery with Pat Bowen, Donny Ray, David Muse, Joshua Ray, Ronald Sheetz and Bradley Zinsmeister serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends, Wednesday April 14, 2021 from Ponders Melrose Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Ralph will lie in state at Opportunity Baptist Church on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at 1:00 p.m.

Due to the national health crisis and the Covid – 19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
