Mr. Porfirio Munguia Rangel, age 85, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life, Friday December 3, 2021 at his home. Porfirio was born December 12, 1935 in Llano Largo Jalisco, Mexico, the son of the late Rafael and Amporo Munguia Rangel.

Mr. Porfirio is survived by his wife, Agripina Rangel; son, Luis and Norma Rangel of Chatsworth, Georgia; daughters, Maricela and Elias Barajas of Dalton, Georgia, Maria and Javier Barragan of Chatsworth, Georgia, Agripina Rangel of Dalton, Georgia, Linda and Gilberto Rodriquez of Mexico; brothers, Rafael and Hermila of Dalton, Georgia, Romero and Evelia of Florida; sisters, Socorro Rangel of Mexico, Emilia Rangel of Flordia; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday December 8, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. from St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Salomon Garcia officiating. Interment will follow the service at West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday December 7, 2021 at Ponder Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
