Mrs. Phyliss Ann Young, age 71, of Fairmount, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday May 5, 2021 at the local hospital. She was born March 23, 1950 a daughter of the late Frank and Ruby Cochran Smith. She was also preceded in death by her son Jeff Young, brothers Eugene Smith, Fred Smith.

She is survived by her husband, EJ Young of the residence; sons and daughter-in-law, Steve Young, Stacy and Tara Young, BJ Young all of Fairmount, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Ronnie Gravley of Calhoun, GA, Pam and Billy Redd of Fairmount, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Frances Turner, Patty and Steve Batchlor, Katherine and Bobby Hodgins, Barbara McArthur all of Canton, GA; 14 grandchildren, 14 Great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Phyliss Ann Young will be held Tuesday May 11, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Fairmount Chapel. Interment will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with Bret Young, Hunter Young, Tyler Young, Frank Young, Zack Young and Lamar Young serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday.
