Mr. Phillip L. Smith, age 61 of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life, Monday August 31, 2020 at his home. He was born January 11, 1959 in Dalton, GA a son of the late Granvil and Macile Rogers Smith. He is also preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Smith Gilbert.

He is survived by his wife, Sandi Quarles Smith of the residence; sons, Jeremy Blackwell of Milton, GA, Brandon Norton of Chatsworth, GA; daughter, Brittney Smith Fowler of Dalton, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Mitchell and Alma Smith of Chatsworth, GA, Warren Smith of Dalton, GA; sister-in-law, Becky Worthington of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Isaac Phillips, Trent Phillips, Gavin Runyan, Brinlee Runyan, Mason Runyan; nieces and nephews, Kim Rogers, Tracy Gilbert Baynes, Denise Gilbert Womac, Nick Smith, Matthew Smith, Eric Smith; several cousins.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Phillip L. Smith will be Thursday September 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens at the Celebration Mausoleum Pavilion with Reverend Charles Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
