Ms. Peggy Joyce Harris, age 70, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday November 12, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Peggy was born February 14, 1944, (her mother's little Valentine), a daughter of the late Gene and Bessie Mae McCoy. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robb Harris. She was a wonderful Mother and Grannie, a little lady full of spunk who showed us all unconditional love. The lesson she asked us to remember, "Always put your children first".

She is survived by her children, and spouses, Brenda and Ray Simmons, Betty and David Clark, Peggy and Ricky Hall, Neicy and Andy Johns, Barbara Patterson, Vernon Harris, Nan Dunsmore and her fiance, David Jensen; her loving companion, Dale Arnold; grandchildren, Steven and Carolyn Simmons, Stephanie and Rick Sears, Ray and Megan Simmons, David and Jennifer Clark, Amy and Cody Holloway, Richard Hall, Tiffany Hall, Ronnie Patterson, Fayth Patterson, Heather Hall, Nicole Bowen, Drew Johns, Brooke Dunsmore, Austin Rogers, Breanna Simmons, Lexie Harris, Katelyn Burns and Jacob Burns; great-grandchildren, John and JoJo Simmons, Matthew, Chris and Haley Sears, Carly and Hattie Clark, Madison and Ada Holloway, Bryleigh Burnette and Brantley Bowen; special sisters, Gracie Long and Faye Bunn.

At Peggy's request a family celebration was held to honor her and share memories with a release of purple balloons.
