Mrs. Paulette Patterson Townsend , age 74, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday morning, July 29, 2022 in the comfort of her home.  Paulette was born September 9, 1947 in Fannin County, Georgia, a daughter of the late Otis and Bonnie Brown Patterson.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dennis "Gene" Townsend, who died May 25, 2019 and a brother, Hurdis Patterson.

Paulette was retired from Shaw Industries where she worked for over thirty-five years.

She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Denise "Andi" Townsend of the residence; sisters, Myrtle Thomas, Gladys Watson; brothers, Arvil and Lois Patterson and J. W. Patterson all of Blue Ridge, GA; the family would like to say a special "thank you" to Jenna and Joey with Hamilton Hospice for their love and care during Paulette's illness.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Paulette Patterson Townsend will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Chaplain Gwen Green officiating.  She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Robert Harris, James Thomas, Bobby Thomas, Noah Crittenden, Nicole Dove and Kayla Burrel honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday until the service hour.
