Mrs. Patsy Sue Morris, age 83, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday, August 14, 2023, at Quinton Memorial Health Care and Rehabilitation.

Patsy was born April 8, 1940 in Dalton, Georgia, a daughter of the late Norman B. and Lucy Spence Hampton.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie Morris, her sisters and brothers-in-law, Mamie Belle and John Haden Swinney, her twin, Betty Lou and Clarance Cochran, brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray and Margie Hampton, John (G Joe) and Frances Hampton, Guy and Evelyn Hampton, and Paul Junior (Black Jack) and Frances Hampton, niece and nephew, Hazel and Woodrow Winkler.

Patsy worked in carpet samples most of her working life and retired from Empire Sample Company.

Patsy was a member of Cleveland Heights Baptist Church.

She is survived by nieces and nephews, Mary Herndon of Cleveland, TN, Tim and Katie Swinney, Billy and Vickie Swinney all of Dalton, GA, Robert and Vickie Hampton, Irene and Johnny Lay, and Louise Bynum all of Chatsworth, GA; several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Patsy Sue Morris will be held Friday morning, August 18, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Bruce Headrick officiating. She will be laid to rest with her family at Sumach Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Murray County, Georgia, with her family serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday until the service hour.
