Ms. Pamela Marie "Pam" Ponders Caldwell, age 57, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life far too soon on Thursday morning, August 15, 2024, at her home. Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
Pam was born on September 28, 1966, in Dalton, Georgia, to the late Tony G. and Sandra Pack Ponders, Sr. She was preceded in death by her brother, Adam L. Ponders, and sister-in-law, Debbie Ponders. Also preceding her were her beloved grandparents, Lawrence and Roxie Southerland Ponders, Carl and Bonnie Hightower Pack, Marie Shoemaker Chitwood, and Max Chitwood.
Pam is survived by her devoted daughter, Amanda Dawn Ponders; her son, Robert "Goob" Adams and Jerri Davis; and her cherished grandchildren, Madison Lydia Winter, Ava Gabrielle Winter, Daisy Davis and Jagger Dixon. She also leaves behind her brothers, Terry Ponders and Tony Ponders, both of Chatsworth, GA; and her sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Robert Swartout of Trion, GA. Pam will be dearly missed by her uncles and aunts, David and Angela Chitwood, Danny Pack, Linda Arron, Anna and Wayne Harkins, all of Chatsworth, GA, and Joyce Ann Pack of Cohutta, GA. She was also adored by her nieces and nephews, Christy Ponders, Anthony Bishop, Sandra Carter, Jason Bishop, LaDonna and C. J. Johnson, April Williams, Kyrra Camper, along with many special cousins.
Pam's life, though cut short, was filled with love and dedication to her family. Her warmth and caring nature will be profoundly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
A service to celebrate Pam's life will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel. She will be laid to rest with her family at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends starting at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday until the service hour.
In this time of sorrow, the family invites all who knew Pam to join them in remembering and honoring her remarkable life.
