Mrs. Oma Nell Browning, age 89, of Resaca, GA, departed this life Wednesday October 7, 2015 at her residence. She was born April 2, 1926 in Murray County, GA, to the late Lon Merrill Vess and Florida Sue Coffey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Browning SR; son, Randall Leon Browning; brothers, Merrell Vess, Jay Vess, Dorset Vess, Raymond Vess, Milton Vess, Edward Vess and a sister Willena Sullivan.

Mrs. Oma Nell Browning is survived by her sons, Richard Browning Jr. and Timothy Browning both of Resaca, GA; brother, Gene Vess; grand-daughter, Amanda Browning and sister-in-law, Marilyn Griffin.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Oma Nell Browning will be held Saturday October 10, 2015 at 11:00 from Ponders Calhoun Chapel with Rev. Mark Kelley and Rev. Harold Blackstock officiating. She will be laid to rest at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 1832 Pleasant Hill RD, Duluth, GA 30096.

The family will receive friends Friday October 9, 2015 at Ponders Calhoun Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
