Mrs. Olga Neilson Livingston Ingalls, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday evening, November 6, 2013 at the local hospital. Olga was born February 16, 1930 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Robert and Anna Neilson Livingston. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Warren Jarvis Ingalls and a sister, Marcia Litchfield. Olga earned her teaching degree from Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio, but only taught school for a few years, spending her time raising her family. Olga was known for her homemade relish and apple sauce and loved sharing it with family and friends.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Warren and Catalina Ingalls, Jr. of Sacramento, CA, Robert James and Connie Ingalls of Gaithersburg, MD; daughters and son-in-law, Belinda Ingalls of Chattanooga, TN, Judith Ingalls and Will Fortune of Calhoun, GA; grandchildren, Robert Andrew Ingalls, Kathryn Ingalls and Christopher Ingalls; sister, Ann Jackson of High Falls New York; several nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Olga Livingston Ingalls will be held Wednesday November 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with her family and friends sharing memories and reflections. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and after the service.
