Mr. Odis Carroll, age 85, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Monday, July 27, 2015 at the Pruitt Health Care in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Odis was born April 6, 1930 in Old Fort, Tennessee, a son of the late Henry and Jewel Arthur Carroll. He was also preceded in death by a wife, Frances Carroll, grandson, Mickey Carroll, brothers, J.B., Duane, Lewis, Bob and Joe Carroll, sister, Ethel McCracken. He was retired from World Carpet.
He is survived by his son, Michael Carroll and his fiance, Leslie Lawrence of Chatsworth, GA; daughter, Patricia McDonald of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Caitlin McDonald, Kerry Jo and Glen Owenby, Shane and Michael Carroll; great-grandchildren, Wes Robinson and Sam Carroll; adoptive daughter, Sandy Carroll of Chatsworth, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Odis Carroll will be held Friday, July 31, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel. He will be laid to rest at the Carroll Family Cemetery in Murray County, Georgia, with his close family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday and after 11:00 noon Friday until the service hour.
