Mrs. Odessa Quinton Dixon, age 67 of Dalton, GA, departed this life Friday May 15, 2015 in Clearfield. PA. She was born August 25, 1947 in Murray County, GA, a daughter of the late Tom and Maybell McGill Quinton. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, J.P. Quinton, Roosevelt Quinton, and Junior Quinton. She was a member of Gobler's Knob Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, James Paul Dixon; daughters and son-in-law, Linda Borden of Dalton, GA, Lisa and Curtis Lynn of Cleveland, TN, Nichole Sanchez of Dalton, GA, Sandra Dixon of Dalton, GA; sons and daughter-in law, Phillip and Kim Fox of Dalton GA, Christopher Willis of Houtzdale, PA, Greg Dixon of Dalton, GA; sister, Hazel Patterson of Chatsworth, GA; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Odessa Dixon will be held Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Keith Quinton officiating. Interment will follow at Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M to 9:00 P.M.
on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, and after 10:00 A.M. on Thursday until the time of the service.
