Mr. Onis Buford "O.B." Barnes, age 87, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at his home. He was born March 15, 1934 in Ellijay, GA, a son of the late Cammie Isaac and Lear Creek Barnes. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Reba Barnes, sons, Don Barnes, Dan Barnes, Mike Barnes, brothers, Kenneth Barnes, CL Barnes. Sister, Eleria Barnes Young, nephew, Dan Barnes.

He is survived by his sons, Tony Barnes of Dalton, GA, Ricky Barnes of Dalton, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Mike Bell of Calhoun, GA, Sandra Dunnway; grandchildren, Rena and Gary Calhoun, GA, Kindra and Cole Ulen of Rocky Face, GA, GA, Cammie Barnes of Dalton, GA; special nephews, Mack Young, Sammy Barnes several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Onis Buford "O.B." Barnes will be held Friday May 21, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the United Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Ponders Melrose Chapel from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
