Mr. Norris "Ray" Brewer, age 72, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, November 19, 2020, at the local hospital. He was born December 14, 1947 in Allegre, KY, a son of the late Jessie Ray and Verlie Mae Cathcart Brewer. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Lee Rowe. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sandy Manis Brewer of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Brandy Brewer of Dalton, GA, Brian and April Brewer of Calhoun, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Ed Sharbnow of Taylor, MI; brother-in-law, Jerry Rowe of Spring Hill, FL; grandchildren, Shanta McDaniel, Rachel Brewer, Ryley Brewer, Jacob Brewer, Talon Brewer; many nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life Mr. Norris "Ray" Brewer will be held Monday November 23, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Jerry Rice officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
