Mr. Norman Carroll, age 78, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday evening, January 28, 2014 at the local hospital. Norman was born November 24, 1935, in Hamilton County, Tennessee, a son of the late Charles Henry and Myrtle Prince Drennon Carroll. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lois Norton Carroll, brothers, R.L. and Raymond Carroll, sister, Ruth Carroll and Edith Carroll Tallent. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and David Wills of Cumming, GA, Susie and David Swisher of Stanley, NC, Penny and John Cox of Dalton, GA; sisters, Minnie Carroll Arnold of Rocky Face, GA, Katherine Carroll Pitts of Virginia; grandchildren, Josh Swisher, Christy Wills Wingfield, Melissa Wills Herz, Amanda Swisher, Sarah Cox and Katie Cox.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Norman Louis Carroll will be held Saturday February 1, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. He will be laid to rest beside his wife at the West Hill Cemetery with John Cox, Josh Swisher, David Swisher and Steve Jernigan serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Friday.
