Mr. Ned T Bentley, age 59, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Sunday morning, July 30, 2023 NHC HealthCare Rossville in Rossville, Georgia.

Ned was born October 27, 1963, in Dorton, Kentucky, a son of the late Preston Daniel and Esta Marie Damron Bentley. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sherri Rai Hall Bentley, who died May 28, 2009, and a brother, James Bentley.

Ned was a 1982 graduate of Coeburn High School in Coeburn, Virginia. Ned loved his job at Berry Plastics, Inc., where he worked for over thirty-five years.

He is survived by his fiancée, Lisa Meade; son, Joseph Jedidiah "Joe" Bentley; daughter, Ashley Nicole Bentley; grandson, Connor Bentley all of Chatsworth, GA; twin brother, Harry Lee (Laura) Bentley of East Ridge, TN; other brothers, Luther Bentley of Pikeville, KY, and David (Marie) Bentley of Indiana; sisters, Mary Jane Deel of Flatwoods, VA, Linda Sue Mullins of Big Stone Gap, VA, Charlene Dorothy Hamby of Florence, KY, Sandra Gay Bolling of Wise, VA, Virginia (Micky) Bond of Coeburn, VA, and Sharon Rose Belcher of Pikeville, KY;  several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Ned T Bentley will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with his family and friends sharing memories and stories of his life.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 5:00 p.m. Saturday until the service hour.
