Mrs. Naomi Louise Faulknor, age 80, of Dalton, Georgia crossed into Heaven's gate, Wednesday September 9, 2020 at her home. Naomi was born February 8, 1940 in Hamilton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Delbert and Ruth Tussey Bond. She was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law Floyd Carrell. Naomi was a school bus driver for many years In Yuma County, Arizona, and was the owner of Faulknor Upholstery. She was an active and lifelong member of The Church of God of the Union Assembly. Naomi was a pleasant and soft spoken person. Pete said she was very quiet until she got to know you and then you couldn't get her to stop talking.
She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-one years, William Henry "Pete" Faulknor of the residence; daughters and son-in-law, Gloria Faulknor, Angela Faulknor, Badella and Mark Ridley all of Dalton, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Vernon and Sharon Bond, David and Mary Bond all of Dalton, GA, and Stanley Eugene Bond of Chatsworth, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Wilma Carrell of Ringgold, GA, and Deborah and Harold Prater of Chatsworth, GA: a dear friend she thought of as a daughter, Jesseletia Williams of Tunnel Hill; grandchildren, Erica Harden and Josh Penn, Triska Ridley, Aaron Ridley; great-grandson, Caleb Harden; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Naomi Louise Faulknor will be held Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Herman Epperson, Reverend Houston Eaton and Reverend Dale Brewer officiating. Special singing will be arranged by Sherry Bond and Cecilia Kitchens. She will be laid to rest at West Hill Cemetery with Steve Hall, Waylon Hall, Paul Carrell, Steve Brafford, Doy Epperson and Jay Smithson honored to serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and after 12:00 p.m. Noon Sunday until the service hour.
Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.Condolences may be expressed to the family at
