Mrs. Mozelle Young, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday morning September 6, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mozelle was born August 30, 1934 in Chatsworth, Georgia, a daughter of the late Luke Mitchell and Eunice Wright Greeson. Mozelle was also preceded in death by her husband, Eldridge B. "Tubby" Young, on December 25, 1996 and her sisters, Minnie Ruth Cox and Genieve Johnson. She was a 1950 graduate of Murray County High School. She was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church for over fifty six years. She was the retired cafeteria manager at Antioch Elementary School where she worked for over thirty-four years. Mozelle was a homemaker in every sense of the word, she loved cooking, canning, gardening and flowers. But the true love of her life was her family, spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mozelle was always more concerned with making sure other's needs were met before her own.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Selena Young, Wayne and Tina Young, Jerry and Samantha Young; grandchildren, Sydney and Jason Thomason, George Tate, Amber Young, Billy Young and Luke Young; great granddaughter, Mallory Thomason; brother, Kenneth Greeson; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Agnes Mozelle Young will be held Monday, September 8, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. Ponders Melrose Chapel with her great nephew, Courtney Jones and Brandan Chastine officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Murray Memorial Gardens in Chatsworth, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and after 1:00 p.m. Monday until the service hour.
