IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Misty Dawn
Kovach
October 1, 1971 – March 28, 2019
Mrs. Misty Dawn Dawson Kovach age 47 of Dalton, Georgia departed this life Thursday March 28, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
She was born in Steubenville, Ohio, on October 1, 1971, a daughter of late Wilbur and Norma Ann Hoobler Elliott. Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by a sister, Karen Wiley.
Misty was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dalton. She was employed as the Clerk of the Municipal Court of Dalton, and previously had been employed by the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office. Misty loved her church family and her co-workers dearly, however, she loved her family and her fur-baby Pippa above all. She was diagnosed with cancer nine years ago, she fought very hard, and won the battle against the disease. Misty always reassured her family and friends' cancer would not take her from this life, and she was right, that battle she won.
Misty is survived by her loving husband to whom she was married on August 18, 1990, Frank Kovach of the home; daughter, Kayla Kovach; son, Patrick Kovach both of Dalton; sister, Sheila Ramsey of Amsterdam, Ohio; brothers, Brent Elliott of Rutland, Vermont, Nick Dawson and Mark Dawson both of Richmond, Ohio; special friends, Charlotte and Claude Parker and Sonia Mata; also surviving are her dear friends from Dalton Municipal Court and the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office, and her beloved church family at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
The family will celebrate Misty's life privately at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. With inurnment to follow in the Resurrection Columbarium at the Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of any flower memorial, Misty requested friends and family to commit to one random act of kindness towards another, or make a monetary donation to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.
