Mrs. Mirl Rachel Bryan, age 93, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Sunday morning, June 8, 2014 at her home. Mirl was born May 1, 1921 in Moro, Arkansas, a daughter of the late, Arvil Scott and Selena Carolina Caraway Riggins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Columbus Bryan and a son, Jack Danny Bryan. She was retired from Shaw Industries where she worked for over twenty years.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Rachel Lutrell Wilson of Tunnel Hill, GA, Pat and Hub Mooney of Dalton, GA; son, Jasper James "J.J." Bryan of Rome, GA; grandchildren, Chris Mooney, Jackie Nelson, Pamela Payne, Julie Rensink, Scott Wilson, Judy Tatum; great-grandchildren, Kelsey Payne, Baleigh Payne, Thomas Rensink, Jamie Rensink, Christy Tatum, Amy Tatum, Drew Nelson and Jacob Nelson; brother and sister-in-law, Victor Carl and Estaleen Riggins of Buchanan, MI; brother-in-law, Norris Otto of Moro, AR; sisters-in-law, Mae Peacock of Columbus, GA, and Lee Cameron of Jonesboro, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Mirl Rachel Bryan will be held Wednesday morning, June 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Lonnie Starnes officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at West Hill Cemetery with her close family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until the service hour.
